Meet The Band

Dani L. Dubois, born August 24th, 1994, is a Colorado Native who has been entertaining audiences all over Colorado since 2016. Singing in choir and theatre all of her life, she went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Musical Theatre at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota where she graduated in 2016.

Returning to Colorado, Dani found her way singing with various cover bands including jazz/pop/swing band Fedora Swing and rock band MidLife Crisis. She has also spent many hours in the recording studio at Hyperthreat Sound working on several different albums with Fedora Swing and various other artists.

Dani recently decided to start writing music again, and is determined to make her mark in the music world. All she had to do was mention to friend and band mate, William Martens, that she wanted to make some danceable funky music. By the end of the week, he had pulled together the perfect mix of musicians, fronted by Dani.

Jonathan, born May 13th, 2001, is a Colorado Native from Aurora, Colorado.  
He has been playing music since 2010, and guitar since 2014. He spends his days teaching music lessons, fixing instruments, and flying planes. Fun fact, he is also a private pilot.

Jonathan (J. Hummel Records) was the one who recorded and produced our first four music releases. He also came up with the initial idea for “Slow Motion”, which was the first song written and released by Waiting For Dani. 

William, born November 20th, 1999, has been playing in several cover bands around the Denver area over the last few years. These bands include MidLife Crisis (staring Dani L. Dubois), Funk Fish, and The Hard Drive. He is also a part of another original band called Past The Sky.

William, originally from Omaha, Nebraska, has been playing alongside his good friend and our guitarist, Jonathan Hummel, since 2013. Not only can he play a mean Bass, but you can often find him playing Guitar, Banjo, Ukulele, Mandolin, and even the Keys! But we think he sticks to the Bass cause it’s fun to slap things!

If it wasn’t for him getting the ball rolling, this band may never have come to fruition! He has also been a major contributor to the writing process from the start.

Stephen, born September 28th, 1999, was born and raised in Colorado. He was introduced to the music world as a child when he sang in the Colorado Children's Chorale, then he began playing guitar at age 12. He first began playing with a classic rock cover band at age 15, and most recently fronted a Black Sabbath tribute band called Bat Salad.

Stephen first met our other guitarist, Jonathan, working at a music store where they both taught lessons. They realized quickly that they worked well together and had common goals. Jonathan then introduced Stephen to the rest of the WFD crew and the rest is history!!

Stephen has a deep love of classic rock, funk, old school metal, fusion, or anything else with lots of guitar in it. Not only does he shred on the Guitar but he also has an amazing singing voice (and does a kick ass Jack Black impression)! FUN FACT - Stephen also studied abroad in China and can speak fluent Chinese!!

Dante, born March 30th, 2001, has been playing the drums since 2010. Born and raised in Colorado, he is also an avid snowboarder and enjoys getting lost in the mountains! In addition to playing a full Drum set, he also plays Percussion and Keys, and teaches private music lessons!

Dante loves to listen to all kinds of music, but specifically enjoys attending Indie Rock concerts. He also plays in several other bands including Latin bands Ojo de Luna, and Aquiles & the Latín Groove, as well as Blues/Rock/Country band - Irregular Goats. He also rocks the best mustache we have ever seen!
